OAU Registrar: Resumption Still Valid and lecture to Commence after the end of the year break. Earlier today, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University released a circular stating that academic activities will resume on Friday, January 5,2018. As we all know that the aggrieved Members of JAC of Obafemi Awolowo University branch Joined their counterparts from other universities in an Indefinite Strike due to the Sharing formula of the Earned Allowance, And they are yet to end their strike. Quoting from the release " I welcome all the students of the university back from the end of the year break and wish them all a happy New year, 2018. In Consideration of the effort of the national Industrial action of the Non- Teaching staff unions in the University, lectures and other academic activities will now resume Friday 5, January, 2018. As opposed to January 3 earlier fixed by the senate." While gathering this report, members of the company in charge of the maintenance of halls called Parks and Garden have swifted into action as her workers have started clearing bushes and cleaning the halls of residence. As well, Light and Water have been restored to the halls of residence although the academic area still remains in Black Out.
